ByNature Manufacturing

Handmade, in-house and thoughtfully made.

Mostly of our work is produced in-house by a small, experienced team. This hands-on approach allows us to stay close to the details, from materials and construction methods to how each piece comes together.

Designers, estimators, and production work closely together, helping ensure what’s designed can be built and installed as intended.

Creating your vision

Producing work internally allows us to:

Create custom sizes and configurations

Maintain consistency across projects

Adapt during production when needed

Coordinate closely with installation planning

What we make:

  • preserved mixed moss and folia
  • preserved and faux planter compositions
  • faux greenery features

Materials are selected with durability, consistency, and visual quality in mind.

Build with us

From individual feature pieces to large-scale, multi-location projects, our production process is built to support projects across Canada and the United States.

With partners in place on both sides of the border, we ensure consistent quality, seamless coordination, and reliable timelines—no matter the scope or location.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely. We operate two warehouses in Canada—one in Vancouver and one in Toronto. We ship projects across the United States and work with a network of trusted partners nationwide to provide installation services when needed.

Yes. We can replicate a design across multiple locations with a high degree of consistency. Our production process includes detailed design documentation, material specifications, and templates to ensure visual continuity, while still allowing for minor site-specific adjustments if required.

Manufacturing timelines typically range from 5-7 weeks after design approval, depending on project scale, material selection (preserved, faux, or living components), and current production volume. Larger or more complex installations may require additional time.

In some cases, yes. Expedited production may be possible depending on material availability, project scope, and scheduling capacity. Rush timelines are assessed on a case-by-case basis and involve a rush fee.

Yes, with limitations. Manufacturing without a full design service is product-dependent. In certain cases, such as living systems based on client-provided designs or previously standardized product selections, we can proceed without a full custom design engagement. However, because each project is unique, a drawing fee is still required to cover the creation of a technical design package for our production team. This ensures accuracy, feasibility, and consistency throughout manufacturing and installation.

Biophilic design is about more than materials: it’s about proportion, detail, and how a piece fits its space. In-house manufacturing allows our design and production teams to work closely together, ensuring what’s designed is built as intended. This approach gives us greater control, flexibility, and consistency, resulting in solutions that feel intentional rather than off-the-shelf.
